Hi Everyone,
New to this forum, so excuse me if any mistakes!
I have a 20 plate Grandland that got the driver side headlight smashed.
Has anyone ever replaced this item? Any hints or advise?
I am pretty tech savvy and since have my hands on a second hand one and I am keen to do it myself if it is no big trouble.
Any advise or guidance would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Ian

Hello killian7603 and Welcome to the Forum.
Is it just a normal headlight? (Not full Led etc) if so I would have thought it should just be a case of swapping over the wires and any controls attached.
You may need to remove the battery and leave for a while then reconnect and let the car learn that its a new part.

Hi GRANDLANDX68
Thank you for responding!
In fact it is full LED and it has just 1 cable plug.
My main concern is the mechanical removal and replacement, as there seem to be so little space and do not want to damage the new one.
In fact I have managed to pull out the old shattered headlight and have the new one ready to fit in, but still contemplating on the best way ahead and if it is indeed a must to take off the bumper as that would be so much hassle.
Therefore I was hoping someone who have already experienced similar operation and its culprits to share some tips.
