Would anyone know if you can change the rear brakes on their grandland without a diagnostic machine to reset the Epb??
I’ve got a set of Mtec discs and EBC pads for the front a rear brakes and I’m not 100% sure how the Epb system is reset, do you just wind the pistons back or is it another one of Vauxhall's “magic” procedures to reset?? I’ve bought the Haynes online manual for my car and it’s utterly crap compared to the good old physical manuals you used to be able to buy.
Any help would be great.

Thanks for the reply. Would gds2 have that facility to reset the brakes?

Cheers valer,
I’ll have to dig my prehistoric laptop out with my tech2 software installed and try and get my Vauxhall diagnostic machine out and see if gds2 will finally work.

Worth a try, obviously it needs to be 2018 model year or later gds2 software versions to cover the Grandland at all

I think I’ve got it sorted now. I’ll plug it in tomorrow and see how this reset is done. As far as I know there is 2 different resets to so, piston retraction and the actual Epb reset do I have to do both? Is it piston back first, change discs and pads then rebuild them back up then do the Epb reset.
Thanks in advance

Just went to do my rear brakes with the instructions from valer and the bloody hard drive on the laptop has totally died. It’s not even recognising there’s a hard drive installed at all. Sod’s Law the one time I’m drag the old laptop out to use it and it’s no use whatsoever now.
