Pinging sound occasionally when I use indicator

Happened first time yesterday when I indicated left and then later on when I indicated right.Anyone any idea what’s going on.

Hi Gumbo67,
The exact same thing happens with my car (2021)
In the morning, when I leave the house, the first time I blink to the right, I know I'm going to hear that sound...
I'd also like to know 'why' this happens...?

I can't say for sure as my car, although it's from 2021, was bought in September 2023.
What I can say is that it's been making that sound ever since I got it

Hi I’m with you. My car (70 plate) has done it since I’ve had it. Often wondered why, but it hasn’t bothered me to the extent of chasing up why. I guess it would be nice to know though. Anyone with any bright ideas, or better yet, the correct reason?

Exactly, nothing to worry about. And as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with the type of engine (diesel or petrol).
Mine is a 1.5 diesel.

Yes mine is a 1.2 petrol, but at least you don’t get the wet belt problems 🤣🤣. Don’t get me started!!!

Any more thoughts on this “problem” as such? Mine only does it when indicating left and only the first time I indicate. Wouldn’t it be nice to know why🤣🤣

Hi,
I'm not too worried, I've got used to it.
A few days ago, I think that at the exact moment that 'that' signal was given, an orange light came on in the pressure gauges.

P.S. - on my car it's when I turn the indicator to the right ;)
