In my manual and service book it states 5w 30.
I am sure I read somewhere that they now recommend 0w 30.
What are peoples view on this?
I am in the UK.

That's the grade they put in my car in December 2020.
Since discovering that the wet timing belt was an issue I seriously considered getting rid of mine, then reading about there are a lot of small engine cars using the wet timing belt.
Is it such a big issue if serviced correctly?

Vauxhall sent a memo months ago instructing their garages to use 0W-30 oil. My car had the 5W-30 and the belt deteriorated.
