I don't seem to be able to send PM's

Hi,
I have tried to send a PM (two actually) but after hitting the submit button, it seems to disappear. I don't seem to have an outbox, only sent and unread sent messages. Am I doing something wrong?
1.2 SE ,8 speed auto, 2019, metallic Ruby red.
