Hi,

Anyone else had the recall done for the front seat covers replacing? Think it may only be on the leather seats.

Had mine in on Tuesday (was told it was straight forward and would be ready same day), now waiting for a specialist to refit the covers to an adequate standard...on Monday.

Interested to see if anyone else has had a problem with getting the work done or if it is just my local dealer that is incompetent.

I was very apprehensive about the seat covers being replaced by my local dealer a couple of months ago but I must admit that in my case it went better than expected. Only the covers on the seat backs are replaced to allow the side air bags to deploy correctly. The dealer had the vehicle for about five hours and although there were a few wrinkles evident in the side bolsters these have evened out with use. Apparently the only way to eliminate the wrinkles totally is to inject steam into the underlying foam.

I've got the leather seats but not had any recall notice. I've got the Elite Nav 1.6, what models do you have?

I also have the Elite Nav 1.6. According to the “car-recall.eu” website which lists recall notices for all manufactures the leather seat cover recall applies to Vauxhall variants built between 19.09.2017 and 04.12.2017. so these were relatively early builds.
The dates for Opel variants are slightly different. If you do visit the recall web site Vauxhall is not currently listed in the initial search options so you have to specify Opel. However once you get to actual recall notices you will see a link at the bottom of the page which takes you to the Vauxhall specific info.
