did you remove full passenger rear door seal in last picture and prize trim open if no what door seal ? if yes would feeding it through door catch result in getting cloth to same place or did you cushion a much bigger area with cloth

Hi sorry I didn't get back to you. Had another look. I put the back seat down and there is a gap at the seat catch. That is where I stuffed the cloth into.

Early days yet, but I managed to stuff some cloth in-between the plastic as above, and taped around the seat catch as mentioned earlier, and so far I think one of them has stopped the rattle I had 🤞🤞

Glad to hear it. I think the plastic is thin and needs that bit of cloth to force it off any metal. As I said after a while I took the cloth out and the rattle had not returned.

Discovered my noise was worn droplinks. Replaced under warranty, no more clunky noises from the back. However I do sometimes get a thin vibration rattle when driving which sounds like it's coming from the front central vent? Also get a small noise from the driver's window in colder weather, which I assume is the trim. Sometimes opening and closing the window stops it. No idea what the vent rattle is though, it's very quiet and it sounds like it might be the valves for the heating? I think I'm just getting paranoid about rattles, once you focus in on little noises it's a never ending circle!

Most probably I discovered the reason of those rattling noises in my Grandland. When I was replacing rear blinker bulb I discovered sort of plastic air vent with three flaps located in space where rear light screw is located. Those flaps are kept in place by gravity or very weak spring. When I was tapping the flap it sounds exactly like rattle I hear in the car on bumps. So at least it's not malfunction but still have no idea how to make them quiet. Anyone?

At the time of servicing, I had the same rattle. Turned out to be my heatsheild had popped a rivet so they fixed it. All done.

Now I have another rattle at the front drivers side. Its really weird if you look at the engine bay there's a full heatshield protecting the bay that I can't easily access as there's another plastic tray under that. I think that's my culprit.

Why on earth put a full heatshield in the engine bay?
