Cam belt change

So as the car is now 6 years old my cam belt is due. (Wet belt) so no, not had wet belt issues.

Took it to Vauxhall this morning after they quoted me £630 for a cam belt change a few weeks ago. Got there said, “So you must be changing the oil too right with it being a wet belt” ….“Let me go and ask servicing”.

Came back and said “no the oil change isn’t included”

WTF!!! “So what do they do with the oil they take out you wet wipe”

“They must just pour it back in”

“So quote me for the oil change as well…”That’s another £130”

And they wonder why they get such a bad name.

Charlatans then. Absolute wa**era if they think it’s common practice and acceptable to pour the old oil back in.

So my tip take it to a back street garage and have it done correctly, properly and fully.
