Battery replacement
Hi, I am planning to fit a new battery and was going to fit a AGM type in place of the original factory fit. It is on a 68 plate 1.2 petrol car. Is it just a straight swap I hear that it may need some reprogramming, and if so how do you do that. Thanks in advance
It is a straight swop, BUT once you have swopped them over dont do anything else for at least 20/30 minutes afterwards, like try and start the car as it will not work, this is so the ecu and other bits can reset themselves.
If you do try and fail you have to do the whole reset process again to wait, before starting.

One thing to note with battery replacement make sure its the right CCA rating of 760 and not 720 as this affects the stop start system as the rating is too low therefore will work for a while then stop.
