Hello all. I have been with Aviva for my car insurance for quite a number of years. My Grandland insurance is due for renewal at the end of June and I have been quoted a rip-off increase of £108 pounds over what I paid last year. Last year I paid £359 and they now want £467. Does anyone have any suggestions? I see that Vauxhall provide motor insurance, has anyone used them? Is AdrianFlux, as advertised on these forums a good choice? Many thanks in advance.

I was with Aviva until they became too greedy. So I went down the usual apps route of Go Compare and Money Supermaket, who offered cheaper solutions. I came across Tesco Bank car insurance and they were very competitive and I’ve been with them for a couple of years. Certainly worth a free phone call, or on line if that’s your thing, Hope this helps.

Collecting my new 1.2 GS Line Automatic tomorrow. When I contacted my insurers (AA) they tell me that they do not have that model listed on their system and will have to contact their underwriters. Never heard the like. They were rather tersely told they need to get their act together as I don't want any problems tomorrow!! Needless to say I shan't be renewing with them!!

Every year I get quoted an increase, I simply call them and say not happy with quote and they add a discount for “loyalty” few days later I call them again and get more discounted :-)
