Hi all!
I purchased a 2020 Grandland X Sri nav 2 weeks ago. And so far I love it.
I just have a few questions which I'm hoping someone can help with.
How do I connect to Apple car play? I have the phone connected to the car via Bluetooth so I can play music via Spotify. It also shows my phone being connected however it doesn't show my contacts or call history,But I cannot for the life of me work out how I get Apple play to work? I've plugged my phone into the usb port and It didnt change anything.
I also want to set up navigation plus and my question is the £95 subscription charge is that for 12 months or is that a monthly fee?
Welcome! Introduce yourself here!
Hi folks,
Just bought a black Grandland x Hybrid4, very happy with the car after my first weekend and looking to keep for a good few years. Had to go on a long drive before I could charge and managed to get just short of 40mpg over A & B roads and some twisty country lanes. Impressed so far.

Hello Ames_jb and Welcome to the Forum
I am sure you will find the help you need on here.
The price for the Sat Nav plus is a yearly fee.

Hi, I’m Adrian,
I bought a used 21 plate Grandland X Elite Nav 1.2 petrol in white on Oct 5th 2024. Its done 38k miles.
I’m ok on the spanner’s, but the amount of integrated electronics is a bit scary and not my forte.
I have had the car serviced and scanned to see if anything could be learned, as I have that dreaded “clutch temp, limit use” warning appearing. No related error codes.
I have noticed it only appears in 6th gear? So I had the clutch & flywheel relearn process performed to see if it would clear it? No luck.
As I understand it, the car imagines clutch slip if the ratios between road speed, wheel speed, gear ratio etc don’t add up. There’s probably a lot of other parameters involved, I haven’t yet seen a good (full) explanation or a possible cure. Anyone?
When it comes on, usually after about 1 minute of 6th gear driving, I believe it also triggers an engine fan to operate.
It resets when the ignition is turned off. So I get the chime and warning for the whole journey unless I avoid 6th gear.
I also noticed I can start the car without depressing the clutch. The handbook suggests you should, so why not code it that way? I’ve replaced the neutral position sensor as a precaution but no change.
Generally pleased with the car overall, just niggles to sort with your help hopefully.
The clutch release bearing is a bit noisy for my liking when cold, but quiet when warmed up. I’m monitoring that one and do not believe it to be linked to the 6th gear issue. No, the clutch does not slip when driving.
Well, that’s enough for the first post. I’m a determined guy and will get to the bottom of things eventually.
Regards to all
Adrian.

Hi there
My name is Chris and I have just acquired a 2024 Grandland Ultimate 1.2 turbo auto. Very pleased with it now I have figured out that Apple CarPlay is NOT wireless this is a shame as the wireless charging pad in the centre console is quite good. I have also yet to see auto stop/start kick in so will review the posts on this topic with interest.
Cheers for now.
