I have posted before but it hasn't worked out yet. Has anybody recently removed the Satnav unit from a Grandland. I have removed the trim and lower screws but it will not budge and I cannot see anything else holding it. Appreciate any help / advice. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, just came across this post. Just to confirm there are only two torx screws holding the screen. And THE VIDEO POSTED ABOVE does not apply to my Grandland - must be a different model/screen.

Anyway, I used two (IKEA furniture spares) angle brackets to pop the screen out. I'm going to try and attach some photos.

I put the angle brackets on each side and popped it out bottom to top (top is held in by lugs).

Hope this helps somebody :)

Grandland X 2018 1.2 Petrol...

Hi there, I'm trying to locate the internal cabin temperature sensor as my fan refuses to work. All the basics done fuses etc. all checked and fine. I believe it's holding off the climate module. Locating this is a pain, I cannot see the internal cabin temperature sensor on the web. Anyway... I have had to remove the Nav screen thinking there is something there and came across this thread.

The Nav screen is held in place by 4no. T20 Torx screws and a spring clip retainer. The clip is located in the same region as the circular hole(see pic me pointing with a T20 Torx driver). By using levering action as shown will pop the holding part and the screen will come out provided all 4 T20 Torx screws are removed.

I found with the use of some cheap trim plastic prying tools, the removal of the silver trim first and then the black trim second was much more gentle on those components. The Black trim I made like a v for victory with my fingers and then massaged it loose both sides, as the retaining clips are in those regions. I provided images so you can see the locations as to where to gently pry with a trim removal tool, therefore not to add damage in the removal process. I only have the basic car so more Trendline/Elite cars may well have a different configuration.
