Good morning!
Just looking for some advice.
So I purchased a Vauxhall Grandland X, 2018, 1.2 Turbo second hand from Arnold Clarke less than 3 months ago. It had 39,000 miles when purchased and now has 43,000 miles. I got the dreaded red spanner and ‘engine oil low’ light on about a week ago, but if I restart the car it goes off.
My car is a month out of warranty, and I’m guessing the fix is going to be a new engine as it’s been serviced and been told everything looks fine.
I bought this car because I’m a single mum and my son needs regular trips to a specialist hospital an hour away. I vowed to never finance a car again, but I needed a suitable car for my son to travel in (I hope it’s not come to bite me in the bum)
Has anyone had any similar issues, and how do you recommend I approach this?
All and every bit of advice or similar experiences is welcome. I am honestly loosing my mind.
Thank you all, and have a lovely day!

Hi
Firstly don't automatically assume the worst, have you checked the oil level? The red spanner will come on if the oil level is dangerously low.
