My problem started when the car didn't want to start, had insurance to jumpstart after struggling it came right. I took the car for repairs they couldn't help. Got a new battery fitted the message is still there. What could be the problem

Not sure what investigation work is carried out to confirm the fault other than a diagnostic check, resulted in needing a new Protection Management System Unit being fitted for the Electrical circuit system: repair needed warning message. Had no issues since, total cost for all the work was £440 with Arnold Clark (Main Vx Dealer).

Took My car to Halfords to have the code read, on offer £35, its got lots of faults stored, they suggested a AE, they tried to clear the codes but they are still on, did anyone get to the bottom of the problem?

Please see my previous post and others on here the only fix I am aware of to get rid of the issue is to have a replacement "Protection Management System Unit" fitted. I had this done at a Vauxhall Main Dealer last year, total cost was £440 fitted. The part only cost £122 as labour and a diagnostic check totalled the rest of the cost. You may be able to get this done cheaper if you know a specialist mechanic in this area and picking one up off eBay or a similar car parts site. The part number of the item is P9820081580 if you enter this in to Google you will see they can be purchased independently for about £150. Hope this helps.

Can I ask what other faults came on the car?? I’ve already changed the battery for a new agm one and had it coded to the car, the problems with mine always having reports of various item having lost connection even though it still drives as it should and affected items still working. What I have noticed is the hat every so often if I’m in the car with ignition off the radio display keeps lighting up and you can hear relays activating even though nothing is switched on.
My bcm always has about 17 faults or so but like I said the car still works as it should.

Not much more to say on this, Halfords (Shop) did a 10 point check and said that all passed, when Halfords (Garage) tested it, they said that the Battery was only reading 45% , they suggested that the shop replaced it U/W which they did, the car still has the Electrical fault on the dash but I dont need to charge it now, After going on holiday, the Airport M+G left my car unlocked, flatten my jump starter and unplugged my dash camera !, I barrowed there jump starter and got home, now Im looking into this fault got myself a DC current clamp to trace this current drain, also going to buy a P9820081580 (thanks PhilVauxGD for the part number), here goes nothing, Cam belt change booked in, see how that goes.
