2018 model it almost eating them, put one on front right 05 May this year and in less that one month it had broken again. talking to local auto accessory shops and they inform me they cannot keep supply up with demant for them, very bad design seems to be the culprit to blame.

If the battery has only lasted 2 months you should get a replacement under its warranty. What make battery did you get?

Mine was the same car never missed a beat started on the button and all worked fine then one day. nothing and every message and whistle, beep sounded. replaced the battery and worked all fine.

If it's the same battery from the new then I would get it changed out. Try locking or opening a window or electronic hand brake off/on when the battery goes, can't even move it, oh and don't put a window down like i did, as it will not go back up, DOH

Definitely issue on the battery if they are dying that quick and will be a warranty on them too

I’m currently having trouble with my 2018 grandland x 1.2 sport nav’s start/stop.

Worked for about 2 years when I bought it in 2019 but has since stopped working.
Tested the battery and it was in good condition but decided to swap for a new one just incase. Still doesn’t work it just flashes the symbol on the dash when it should work.

Anyone have any idea’s at what the problem could be?

I had to have mine reset and needed a new battery. It does work now but very rarely due to my very short trips.

2021 Grandland x ultimate
My stop start hasn't worked properly for a year so today after reading previous post I have checked my battery voltage and it's reading 12.5v and when running 15.0v.
I haven't yet done a load test as intended to run the car with minimal accessories on like radio, fan, screen and air-conditioning off .
My present battery if Varta 70ah 760a (EN)
Question is if I have to replace it does it need coding ?,or can simple replace and use battery pack to cigarette lighter to keep cars memory setting powdered.

There is no need for coding unless the battery is a different spec.
Lots of Grandland have stop start not working as battery BMS detection is below 80% charge.
Recommendations are to have 70 AH , 760 CCA replacement.
Mine is 1.5 diesel and has the above and stop start hasn't worked for a year on 2021 model also eco start up comes on as battery charge is low its time to replace the battery .
A main dealer want £245 just for battery so I bought online in the UK from Battery Group based in Barnsley for £118 plus £7 delivery.
Two day delivered and checked new battery is 12.8v.
