Radio lost connection to the car!

Hi. Brand new member here. My first post.

Got a weird issue. Got a 67 plate. My radio has somehow lost connection to the car. The radio still works fine but I can’t use the steering wheel controls to control it. When the engine is off, the key is taken out and the driver door is opened, the radio remains on! The radio can only be powered on/off by the power button, so I have to remember to power it off before I get out of the car. Also, when I try to adjust the climate I get a message telling me this function can only be used when the vehicle is turned on but the engine is on!!
