1.5td grandland x timing chain check and renewal

I’m after some information on this problem I have just found out about my car and other 1.5td 16v grandlands. Apparently the engine has a rubber timing belt, but it also has a camshaft chain which by all accounts has a common problem of stretching and snapping.
Has anybody came across this fault, or knows anything about this?
What I’m trying to find out is the checking process and also the instructions for a removal and refitting of the newer updated items so I know my car won’t break.
