Sometimes when we start our car we get a message flash up on the info screen in the middle of the dash (behind the steering wheel, not the main entertainment info screen) about the lane detect system. It only appears for maybe half a second.
So I can go into any discussions with the garage with some knowledge, does anyone have any ideas why it is flashing up? We don't get a lane detect warning light on the dash (ie the little light icon) and there are no errors when you press the check button (service due in 9 months, then says no issues found).
Finding it a bit hard to find a road where we can test the lane detect system is actually working once the car is running, but as mentioned above, no warning lights - though maybe if the system is totally broken/off they wouldn't come up anyway?
