My grandland x is nearly 4 now and has just under 21,000 miles on the clock and my Michelin tyres are no good. I’ve had various cars since I passed my test in 1995 and have never had a set of tyres fail like this. My tracking is spot on as I had them checked last year, the tyre pressures are as they should be and the car drives true and straight with no vibration whatsoever.
The only other problem I had with a set of tyres was with my Vectra c which had the Goodyear eagle tyres that had a manufacturing fault that was recognised by Vauxhall and Goodyear. I managed to get a brand new set of tyres fitted and balanced with 85% discount as it was a fault in the tyre tread and carcass, not by driving style.
What are the mileage’s from you guys before your tyres needed to be changed??

Most tyres have normally lasted me about 2 years or 20000 miles. I haven't had a car as heavy as the Grandland before and only just got mine so can't comment on tyres on my Grandland

I have had my car about 3 years now and I have had to replace one due to a Puncture the rest are still the original ones with obvious signs of wear like yours but I do very low mileage.
I always use Black Circles or Asda tyres to compare retailers and get the best price for new ones.
We also have a Meriva B which is 7 years old now and has about 14000 miles on the clock at 5 years old we had to replace all tyres due to the same wear as seen on the your photos.

My OEM Michelin Crossclimate tyres have some crazing around the edge of side wall & tread pattern. At nearly 3.5 years & 24,000 miles now, with enough of tread left for 30,000 (but I'm trading in next week). I believe traffic calming speed bumps are partly the cause of the problems with unusual tyre wear, impacting inner or outer edges depending on how you negotiate them.

Sounds like I’ve got to replace them all then. I must admit these tyres have been the brilliant in the wet, snow and in dry conditions. My Goodyears I had on my Vectra c were good on dry but any sort of moisture and it just span it wheels all the time, it might’ve had something to do with the 200hp remap it had but even before it was done the grip was shocking.
Would any of you have the primacy 4 tyres fitted? If so what are they like??
