Hi,
I'm from South Africa and drive a 2020 Grandland X Cosmo 1.6T. Sorry for posting in this forum but we don't have any forums this side for the Grandland, and need some advice please.
Since my last service, the engine has been consuming a lot of oil, and the engine light has come on several times with the screen saying I need to check my oil level.
The car has 44,000km (27,340mi) on and was serviced at 40,000km (24,800mi). Since the service, it has been topped up 3 times, with 600ml, then 800ml, then only 100ml the last time. This was done by the dealership as part of the oil consumption test to see if an engine replacement is needed. In South Africa they can't do any repairs, so they replace the engine.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before too? Any advice? Just seems absurd to add so much oil to a relatively new car...?
High Oil Consumption 1.6T
Having the same issues with my 1.2 engine. I've read on the Peugeot forums that it's common on pure tech engines and could be a few different parts of it.
