Part identification please

I recently had my doors aligned although it was more trouble than it’s worth as now the door is squeaking and rattling. Can anyone tell me on the picture what the little pin is for that is missing from the small hole? It was there before it went to the garage. The have replaced the part in the bigger hole but what should be in the small one?

Have you looked at the other door to see what's there,if anything ?

Yes there is a little metal round bit. I just can’t see what it’s for
