Hi Greenbean,
There are a number of towbar options available and you can find photographs of a fitted unit, in the forum, 'aftermarket towbar'.
I fitted a detachable unit with the socket and electrics seen under the bumper when viewed from behind the car. Two types of electrics can be fitted, vehicle specific or universal.
The universal wiring requires splicing of cables into the loom. The vehicle specific unit has connectors which plug into existing connectors already installed in the vehicle.
After installation, the vehicle requires re-coding before the electrics work.
Would say that a vehicle specific kit is the better option so as not to invalidate any warranty.
