Re: Wet timing belt disintegrated, new engine required outside warranty

Reading this post it seems that the engines affected are the 1.2 petrol.does anyone know if the 1.5 diesel is also affected?

Re: Grandland X no more

We have a grandland X and an Astra k, so I'm used to driving both vehicles going from an suv to a smaller car.The most noticeable thing for me is that the gearbox in the Astra is a lot smoother than the grandlands

Re: Sat nav query

Spoke to vx customer service, and they confirmed what I thought. When the car is due for a service the service indicator links to the sat nav., and periodically shows vx dealers in the area to encourage you to book your car with one of them.

Re: Sat nav query

Re: Clunky gear change

I have a 1.5 turbo diesel, and the gearbox is very notchy .I think this is a common problem with the grandland, and think it is something you will have to accept.(I may be wrong in saying this, but think this is the case)

Re: Grandland X vs. Peugeot 3008

Whilst the Peugeot has its good points ,overall the grandland does make more sense financially and ergonomically as you say

Grandland X vs. Peugeot 3008

Just been reading auto express and they are comparing the grandland X against the Peugeot 3008.There are some good points for the grandland, but overall the Peugeot comes out on top (must admit I did consider one a few years ago) but stayed loyal to Vauxhall as I previously owned a mokka, and my wif...

Re: Heated screen

Hi
If it has a heated windscreen you need to look closely at the screen and you will see very fine elements all down it, they are not obvious unless you look closely
