Reading this post it seems that the engines affected are the 1.2 petrol.does anyone know if the 1.5 diesel is also affected?

We have a grandland X and an Astra k, so I'm used to driving both vehicles going from an suv to a smaller car.The most noticeable thing for me is that the gearbox in the Astra is a lot smoother than the grandlands

Spoke to vx customer service, and they confirmed what I thought. When the car is due for a service the service indicator links to the sat nav., and periodically shows vx dealers in the area to encourage you to book your car with one of them.

Every couple of weeks there is a what sounds like a warning chime and the sat nav screen changes to a different screen which seems to cover about a 20 mile radius. I have a 1.5 turbo diesel, and the gearbox is very notchy .I think this is a common problem with the grandland, and think it is something you will have to accept.(I may be wrong in saying this, but think this is the case)
